Kate is a well connected girl, and has an enviable group of celebrity friends. Who are they? Read on...!
Liv Tyler
Kate and Liv met at the Crossroads school in Santa Monica in the mid 90's, and since then have forged a friendship.
The two have a lot in common - as well as both being actresses, they are also the children of famous parents
(Liv's being Steven Tyler and Bebe Buell), were married to rock stars (Liv to Royston Langdon of Spacehog) and each is
mother to a young son. Kate and Liv even extended their friendship to a magazine interview- in 2003
Liv interviewed Kate for Interview magazine, where they reminisced about their time on the Brotherly Love Tour
(in 2001) together, with Kate saying "That was so much fun. We woke up and went on roller coasters, and I couldn't
move my neck for about a week." More recently, the friends have been spotted out in New York City walking their sons
Ryder and Milo (born 11 months after Ryder), and occasionally attend events together.

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer
Kate and Jennifer have been friends since they were very young, as Jennifer's father was Goldie's agent.
in fact, "we were literally in diapers together" she
says.
In early
2006 Kate and Chris attended the launch of Jennifer's new
jewellry line to support their friend and in
October of that year Kate attended Jennifer's girls only
baby shower.

Both residents of Malibu, Kate and Courteney and their husbands have been friends for a while.

Stella McCartney
Kate and Stella were introduced by mutual friend Liv Tyler at the VH1 Fashion Award in 2000. The pair hit it off
immediately, and would meet up whenever they were both in London. Stella designed Kate's dress for the 2001 Oscars, and
Kate says she loves Stella's clothes because they are so comfortable and easy to wear. The two share an appreciation
for clothes, jewellry and fashion. Kate presented her friend with an award at the Fashion Group International's Night
of Stars Gala in 2004. More recently, Stella interviewed Kate for In Style magazine (January 2009 edition).

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen
These comedy favourites have been friends for a number of years. They were photographed together with Chris and other
friends in 2003, and more recently have been sighted (but sadly not photographed!) having lunch together on multiple
occasions.

Naomi Watts
Kate and Naomi met when they starred in Le Divorce together, and developed a bond whilst filming in 2002. They
attended each others' baby showers in 2003 (Kate's) and 2007 (Naomi's first). Naomi said that there was "pretty much
instant trust from the get-go" when filming Le Divorce, and rather than force it, they found it came naturally
which made the relationship in the film more believable. Naomi was also impressed by Kate's little seen talent for
drama, as opposed to the comedy we're used to - after working with her on dramatic scenes, Naomi said she though “Wow,
I've got to start watching this girl. She has real range.”

Matthew McConaughey
Kate and Matt became friends whilst shooting How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days in 2002. They said they had a great
time working together on the film, and their chemistry was certainly visible to audiences. They re-teamed in 2007
to film Fool's Gold, and while promoting that film before it's release in 2008, Kate admitted that they hadn't
really kept in touch in those 5 years between films, but when they got to film Fool's Gold they picked up where
they left off from before and rediscovered that friendship. The secret to their relationship - on and off screen - is that
they "fight well and flirt well", Matthew says, but they are also like brother and sister. "I have a total soft spot for
him. There's not a mean bone in his body", Kate says. She and then-boyfriend Lance Armstrong were spotted visiting Matt
and his girlfriend Camila Alves soon after Camila gave birth to their first child in the summer of 2008.

Jennifer Aniston
Kate and Jen possibly met through mutual friend Courtney Cox Arquette, and the three all have homes within close
range in Malibu. Jennifer attended Kate's baby shower in 2003. In August 2006 Kate and Jen were photographed in a
carpark/airport (pictured) on the day they attended a private event with another mutual friend (Jennifer Meyer)
and the press went into overdrive suggesting Jen was giving Kate support and advice with her divorce.

Kate has said she is friends with Jesse Wood (Ronnie Wood's son)
During the filming of Skeleton Key Kate and Chris stayed at Francis Ford Coppola's house in New Orleans,
who is probably a family friend.
Despite rumours to the contrary, Kate and Anne Hathaway became friends whilst shooting Bride Wars, and Anne said
that they still text each other and see each other from time to time. Rumours also suggested that they bonded whilst
dealing with the grief of Heath Ledger's death in January 2008.
Kate and Baron Davis went to high school together and have remained good friends since.
Kate hosted a Halloween party in October 2007 - celebs in attendance included Ashley Olsen, David Spade, Jake Gyllenhaal,
Marc Jacobs and Reese Witherspoon
Kate says she is still friends with all her ex-boyfriends, so that includes Owen Wilson, Dax Shephard and Lance Armstrong.
