Family scores over fame for Kate Hudson!
If ever faced with the dilemma of choosing between her career and home, Hollywood actress Kate Hudson would definitely choose her family over acting. The ' Almost Famous Star' beauty who is currently basking in the glory of motherhood would devote all her time to her hearth and home, if required. "I am so happy at home. If it was like, 'Take it or leave it, ' I'd be like, 'Bye, I'm out of here.' (Home is) where I'm happiest," the star was quoted as saying by imdb. I'd build a little stage in my house and I'd do Tennessee Williams' plays and play all the characters," she further added.

Kate to present ABC Daytime Drama shows
"Hope & Faith's" Kelly Ripa and "Raising Helen" star Kate Hudson will each host the ABC Daytime drama lineup this May, it was announced today by Brian Frons, president, ABC Daytime. "I think it will be a special treat for the viewers to see Kelly and Kate embrace our soaps in this way," said Mr. Frons. "It also lets the viewers know about other viewing opportunities that they won't want to miss." On May 27-28, Kate Hudson will introduce the lineup, offering up her spin on the day's episodes. Ms. Hudson will also share observations on "Raising Helen," her new romantic comedy from Touchstone Pictures/Beacon Pictures, premiering May 28. The ABC Daytime drama lineup is No. 1 in the key demographic of women 18-49. The ABC Daytime lineup includes "The View," "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital." "Hope & Faith" is the linchpin of ABC's TGIF lineup. It leads its time period in the key Adults 18-49 demographic on Friday nights, and garnered a People's Choice Award nomination in its first season. "Hope & Faith" has been renewed by ABC for the 2004-2005 season and is produced by Touchstone Television in association with Industry Entertainment. After rising to fame in "Almost Famous" and hot off the hit "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," Academy AwardŽ nominee Kate Hudson stars in "Raising Helen," a romantic comedy from director Garry Marshall ("Pretty Woman," "Runaway Bride," "The Princess Diaries"). Helen Harris (Hudson) is living the life she always dreamed of. Her career at the top of a Manhattan modeling agency, working for Dominique (Helen Mirren), is on the rise; she spends her days at fashion shows and her nights at the city's hottest clubs. But her carefree lifestyle comes to a screeching halt with one phone call that changes everything. Helen soon finds herself responsible for her sister's children - 15-year-old Audrey (Hayden Panettiere), 10-year- old Henry (Spencer Breslin) and 5-year-old Sarah (Abigail Breslin). The fun begins as Helen goes through the transformation from super hip to super mom. No one doubts that she is the coolest aunt in New York, but what does this glamour girl know about raising kids? She quickly finds that dancing at 3:00 a.m. doesn't mix with getting kids to school on time - advice that Helen's older sister, Jenny (Joan Cusack), is only too quick to dish out. Along the way, Helen finds support in the most unusual place - with Dan Parker (John Corbett), the handsome young pastor and principal of the kids' new school - and realizes the choice she has to make is between the life she's always loved and the new loves of her life. The film's story is written by Patrick J. Clifton & Beth Rigazio, with a screenplay by Jack Amiel & Michael Begler.

Kate Hudson renames her mum
New mum Kate Hudson has been revealing her new nicknames for grandparents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Apparently she can't bring herself to call her mum Goldie 'granny' - although we're not sure whether it's Kate or Goldie who objects to the title. Kate gave birth to son Ryder Russell Robinson four months ago, and says she hit upon names which please everyone: "I call her Gogo. I don't really call her Grandma. So it's Gogo, and actually Kurt's nickname is Gogi. So it kind of works out perfectly - Gogo and Gogi!" "Being pregnant I got so much advice I just started tuning it out. I was like, 'God, if I get one more person telling me what I have to do when the baby comes I'm going to shoot 'em!'" "I have such great parents and they're my role models."

Hudson: Paparazzi followed me to hospital
Actress Kate Hudson told reporters in New York paparazzi plagued her at the hospital where she gave birth to her first son in January. It's just sad, said the 25-year-old Raising Helen star. It's sad that that part of your life can't be yours, especially when you are so open to giving whatever. I have nothing to hide. I'm available to discuss anything, but having guys dress up in scrubs to get into the hospital is sad. I guess it's the nature of what the importance of celebrity is today, unfortunately. Asked if this was the first time she had experienced the down-side of fame, she replied: "I think it's pretty bad for everybody now. I think (paparazzi) are becoming an industry of their own now. ... My friends who are in the same position, four or five cars follow you wherever you go. ... Even my parents (Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell) were like, 'It was never like that,' she said, adding guards were posted outside her hospital room door to keep nosy photogs away.

Kate Hudson wants to savor motherhood again!
Hollywood actress Kate Hudson's maternal instincts have surfaced again, just four months after delivering her first baby. Hudson quite enjoyed the pregnancy experience and wants to savour it again. Hudson and her rock star husband, Chris Robinson welcomed baby Ryder Russell into the world in January, and the actress has already lost much of her baby weight after bloating up in size. "I had everything after the baby - booty, three chins, the whole kit and caboodle. I really enjoyed being pregnant and I really enjoyed getting big and I actually enjoyed, after the baby, being big," Kate was quoted as saying by imdb. "The best part about it was I can relate to how difficult it is to lose weight now. I really worked hard at it. I worked out two-three hours a day every day," she further added.

Kate Hudson's Mothers' Day
Kate Hudson is back and looking fantastic as she celebrates her new movie, and what she calls the "craziest trip" of her life -- the birth of her 4-month-old son, Ryder: "Some people think psychedelics are good? Have a baby, all right?" Kate joked to us. "Because it's crazy." Kate was joined by her mom, Goldie Hawn, as Kate's "Raising Helen" kicked off Robert De Niro's Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend. In the movie, 25-year-old Oscar nominee Kate plays a hotshot fashion executive whose life is turned upside down when she suddenly "inherits" three children. And as Kate's fate would have it, right in the middle of making the movie, she got pregnant. But the happy-go-lucky star told us, "It gives me so much more to talk about now that this movie's coming out." One thing everybody's talking about is just how phenomenal Kate looks, having lost 75 pounds since pregnancy. "I worked out two to three hours a day. It was really hard," Hudson revealed. "You shed the pounds and you shed emotions." Kate's rocker husband, Chris Robinson, is on the road, so she will be spending her first Mother's Day alone with her son. "It'll just be me and Ryder spending the first Mother's Day together," she admitted. So will this new mommy have another one? "Well, yeah," she said. "I don't know if I'll eat as many pints of ice cream -- but maybe I will." For more on Kate and her kid, check out Monday's edition of "Extra."
